What a unique playing paddle. It is extremely stable and superbly solid feeling. I am able to return fast pace serves and block back during fire fights with authority. The handle feels like a tennis racket allowing me the ability to hit with a semi-western grip and generate even more revolutions on the ball. My opponents noticed the ball dipping down with extreme spin. The foam filled nomex core produces a very unique sensation on contact. The long handle length is exactly what I am looking for when hitting a two handed backhand. Highly recommended, great value and awesome owner!

Alpha Paddle

I'm really impressed with the quality for the price, it feels like a 200 dollar paddle. The Alpha has the perfect amount of control and power. The grip feels amazing and the handle is the perfect size.

Great Paddles

Helped put power behind my shots and added consistency. Very good feel and weight. It almost immediately helped improve my game, which says a lot. For the price these are a steal. Nice to see this kind of thing coming from small companies. I was considering buying a $200+ paddle but seriously am more happy with the Alpha.

It's just ok

High swing weight gives it power, but too slow for me. Handle shape is square and clunky. Grip is wrapped backwards (left handed). Shipped bare in a box with no padding, got scuffed up. I gave the paddle away.

Great paddle

Paddle feels pretty dang good honestly. Sounds like a Shotgun which is super fun. I like it alot more than my gearbox Pro power elongated. Has great stability and great power as well. Great deal for the price

Weight- it is advertised as 8.5 +-.2. I had requested one in the lighter end and was told they would handle it. Unfortunately, the stock weight for my paddle was 8.6 out of the box. After overgrip and some electrical tape for edge guarding, I'm at 8.9. it feels pretty well balanced and not super head heavy. I would have preferred my final weight below 8.5, but it did meet the spec they published, so I'm just being picky 😎 It's my first time having a paddle with the 3k cf. I am so used to RCF and love gritty paddles. I have several paddles to compare it to, but will stick to a few in this similar price range. Let me compare it to the Hurache-X and Neonic Flow. Face texture... Hurache X

Powerful + Control

After researching this paddle I decided to give it a chance and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. It is extremely powerful yet still controllable. Slightly heavy, but well balanced so it has a light weight feel during swings. What surprised me the most was its performance in the soft game. Typically, paddles with this much power make it difficult to be consistent on drops, dinks, and resets but with the Alpha, it's a breeze. Expect a lot of aced serves, body bagging and people flinching when you put balls away!

Monster paddle

An exceptional value for the price. The foam core provides such a dampened comfortable feel. The heft allows you to really demolish the ball with pace, similarly to a Gearbox Power paddle but with a tad more control. Very cool looking graphic with the 3K weave as well.

Alpha review

I’ve used the alpha for about 15 hours at 4.5-5.0 games. This thing really packs a punch. Like my punch blocks and speed ups were unbelievable. Of course the trade off is that the resets and dinks felt difficult to control. The paddle also came gripped for a lefty, so I had to put a new grip on. The paddle balance is quite heavy, and the twist weight felt surprisingly low, I would guess it’s around 6.5. I tried adding lead tape, but the high swing weight of the paddle doesn’t give you much room to work with before the paddle starts feeling too slow, I was only able to add weight around the throat of the paddle. If you have a playstyle that revolves around speed ups, and lobbing whenever in trouble, this paddle will be your best friend. I typically play with the DBD infinity, which is very soft and lacks power and pop, so this paddle is the polar opposite. You can also hear the foam inside the face crunching if you put it near your ear and squeeze the paddle face, which is a little weird, but foam is foam Overall, if you are a banger and want to beat everyone in hand battles & are purely focused on generating offense, go for it.

CoreTek Alpha

This paddle has some serious power. It’s up there with the top few in that category. Also had some good spin. Maybe not the absolute best in the game but it’s definitely nothing to complain about. Lastly, it was probably the most stable paddle I’ve ever hit. Needs no lead at all. This is pretty crazy considering it is an elongated paddle. Sweet spot is huge. Probably the only minor downside of this paddle is the swing weight. Though if you like that in a paddle, then even more reason to get this.

CoreTek Omega is GREAT!

I’ve had the Omega paddle for almost 2 months now, and have really enjoyed it! The control, speed, and consistency are a huge plus for me. I’ve played with other paddles that are $50-$100 more than this, and haven’t had the result I got from the Omega. Great product!

Was very impressed with the alpha! It was a lot of fun to play with The grip felt comfortable and the longer surface made for some interesting play. It took a few games to get use to the control of the paddle but I was very impressed with the alpha and will continue to play with it

Great paddle!!

I’m super interested in paddle technology, so when I found out there was a paddle that brought something new to the market, I couldn’t resist. I’ve been playing with the alpha for a couple weeks now and I’m obsessed. It hits super hard, but there’s also great touch. Because it is filled with foam, it is on the heavy side, so that’s something to be aware of. The only real critique I have is the decal covers a lot of the carbon fiber making it difficult to take full advantage of the face (but if you are able to impart your own spin, it’s not very noticeable).

Solid all court paddle!

The Coretek Alpha paddle is truly one of a kind. This paddle offers forgiveness across the entire face, delivering both power and a comfortable level of control. It also has a very well build handle that is just the perfect length for a 2 handed backhand. Overall I think this is a very solid all court paddle and could recommend it to a lot of players.

I own the Alpha and the Omega and the Omega is one hard hitting paddle! If you want a paddle that can drive the ball this one is it. It is a little on the louder side due to the materials used, but I love the shock value you get at the kitchen line.

What a great paddle! Easy to swing and generates lots of power with high degree of spin with both indoor and outdoor balls. Very consistent and solid feel over the whole face of the paddle.

ALPHA Paddle

Awesome

Just got it. after 4 hours of play it is Gearbox Pro like. May need more time to break in to get the real power feel. So far the difference is that it has more spin than the Gearbox and has more control. Right now the Gesrbox iPro has more power, but I have to say it is the second most powerful paddle so far (I’ve also had the Legacy Pro and Pro Air). Maybe after breaking it in it may be the most powerful with the most control. The Gearbox Pro is an unforgiving paddle. Got to hit it right all the time in the kitchen otherwise you will end up eating the ball.

I have to say that this paddle has everything, from control, spin and lots of power. The best all around court paddle I’ve ever used. Definitely a top tier paddle that rivals any of the big brands in the market. Plus can’t beat the price. 100% recommended

The Alpha is Elite!!

Everyone knows the Alpha hits hard. It definitely does. What people might not realize is the spin it generates. I’ve had 2 other good raw carbon fiber paddles, and neither of them produces the spin the Alpha generates. I’m sure the Omega’s spin is just as good or even better since it’s 18K carbon. All in all, the alpha is great paddle. My paddle weighs 8.56 oz but it doesn’t feel too heavy. It’s balanced well and since it is slightly heavier than the average paddle, it provides plenty of power.

New and improved

Purchased the new revision of the Coretek alpha. Glad to see that it has come down in weight and the grit has improved on this batch. With the lower weight I am able to swing much quicker and generate even more spin. The paddle already hit hard before and now that there is improved grit and weight, I can swing even harder and keep it in. Great work!

Can't get past the swing weight

I really wanted to love this paddle. I was willing to overlook the oddly nearly square handle. But the high swing weight has given me tennis elbow. I've had to resume using my old paddle That is nearly an ounce lighter.

Too heavy and difficult to control.

I wanted to like this paddle just because it was a "gen 3" paddle with a foam-infused core. Unfortunately it's just way too heavy to properly maneuver -- not sure if it's because of the core or 6-inch handle. Has plenty of plow-through power, but dinks felt kind of dead compared to my other paddles. Tried to request a refund from CoreTek, but was rejected.

Great Paddle!

I rotate the Alpha with my Ruby, DBD, Proline S, etc. and it plays as well as any of them. Power, control, pop and spin are excellent. I’ve added no lead tape and I’ve played it for a month with no elbow issues. I have been surprised at how much control I have while using it since it’s known for power. I thoroughly enjoy playing the Alpha and communication with Coretek has been top tier. I

High Tech Paddles Ahead of the Others!

The CoreTech Alpha looks amazing BUT the playability is awesome! I don’t understand all the tech in the paddle but I can feel the difference in with power. The price is unbelievable for the product.

I have played with lots of paddles over the last year and the Omega is at the top of the list when it comes to power, pop, and playability. There are so many good things to say about this paddle and I’ll share a few. 1. The 6 inch handle is great in conjunction with the paddle weight, it is well balanced. 2. The speed that the balls comes off during hands battles is pretty epic. 3. I love the sound of the paddle when you hit the ball purely on the sweet spot. Power Value King

If your put-aways are getting returned, buy an ALPHA α. In addition to the punch this paddle packs, it felt stable in my hand when resetting drives. At the kitchen I could dink aggressively with spin. The sweet spot feels huge and responsive. Players looking for power on a budget need to look no further than the ALPHA α.

Made the Switch to Coretek

I had been using the Engage Pro series for about the last year. When I tried the Alpha I knew I had to switch. I convinced my men's doubles and mixed doubles partner to test drive them and now we all on team Coretek. Good control and plenty of pop and power. We added a carbon fiber edge guard and it really looks sweet.

Alpha and Omega

Without a question, both paddles play great. Alpha is definitely geared towards faster play, whereas Omega towards more control. Great paddles.

It's got good power and feel

My serves are good and low and powerful, but I'm not sure I have the accuracy down yet. I used to be able to hit it right on the middle line to their backhands pretty regularly, I'm not hitting that shot as well....yet. I'm not dinking as well yet either, but it's because the ball comes off the paddle a lot faster, so I'm hitting it a little longer than I wish. I think I need more time with it. I play with a lot of power type players so I don't get as much dinking play as I should be. I'd buy the paddle again if I lost it or it got stolen. I catch people off guard with quick drive shots into their torso, it's just so fast they can't get to it in time.

Honestly unreal how great of a paddle you get for this price. I love the long handle and powerful face. This paddles has it all and is one of my go-to-choice's. Coretek has done something special with this one and I hope the company gets the recognition it deserves for the hard work they put into this. Would recommend it to anyone!!!

alpha paddle review

this is a well balanced paddle with a generous sweet spot. I play primarily with a Joola and I found that the Alpha paddle had a similar feel and power.

This paddle is amazing. It really is a totally new material to learn but once you get the hang of it the pop and spin are incredible. I've played with the alpha and it's not quite as stable but once I got more used to the Omega I've been playing with it as my main.

Exceptional Performance and Value

I love this paddle. Few paddles I’ve tested have as much easily accessible power and pop, even fewer retain strong control for resets and dinks. The alpha is a true power paddle that doesn’t sacrifice control. Power, control, and the gnarly spin this paddles offers makes it a true weapon for all skill levels. Constructive subjective criticism: I would prefer the handle to be more of an octagon and less logo on the paddle face. My paddle weighed in at 8.4 ounces leaving little room to add weight. This wasn’t an issue for me but may be for others. Also the paddle feels a little bulkier than other 16mm paddles. Being said, the alpha has replaced the Paddletek bantam tko-c as my main and I highly recommend it.

The Alpha is a really great, well handling paddle.

The Alpha really is a great paddle. I've had two days of competitive playing and it took me almost no time to get used to it. It handles excellent. It dinks well, plays down the line well, serves to where you want, AND is very powerful too. That's the tough part getting both. You will not be disappointed. Oh, it scoops up those ones at your feet with zero bounce better than any paddle I've ever played with. Either that, or I got really good overnight. Not.

The Alpha paddle was great right out of the box but when I added a little lead tape, it took it to another level. The spring effect from the foam was much more evident and the paddle was even more powerful. Very happy with the Alpha.

hits harder than my gearbox

Been playing with the gearbox pro power elongated for two years and the alpha is putting the ball through me at the kitchen. Took it out for a 4.0 doubles session yesterday and my partner kept asking what I switched to. The one thing I'd warn people about is the swing weight, you do not want to play a long day of dinking with this. Drives and speedups though, nothing I've held comes close.

soft game

I've been dropping the ball long for months with my old paddle, three, four drives a point into the net. With the omega I can actually hold a reset at the kitchen without thinking about it. Power is there too when I need to put one away but that's not why I bought it. Wish I'd found this paddle two years ago.

I'm a 4.0 player, play mostly doubles at the rec center, two handed backhand is my main shot. The alpha is the first elongated I've used that I actually get topspin serves with. Served the other day and my partner said the ball dropped about 2 feet from where he was standing which never happened with my old joola. Long handle took a session to get used to but I wouldn't go back now. Only nit is the grip out of the box is thin, had to put an overgrip on day one.

replaced my joola

Had a joola ben johns perseus that I liked but the omg feels faster in the hands at the kitchen. Weights about the same and the control on drops is the closest I've felt to a much more expensive selkirk I tried at the club. Only complaint is I wish it came in a pink color lol. Otherwise keeping it.

vs the $200 ones

My buddy let me try his $230 selkirk power air for a session and I could not justify the price difference. The alpha hits just as hard and the feel off the face is more solid than the selkirk. I'm 4.5 and play in a league, I've tried a lot of paddles. This one isn't better than everything but it's not worse than the flagships either, and it's like a third of the price. Did not need any lead tape, balanced right out of the box at 8.4.

sound

ok the pop sound alone is worth the price. My buddy at open play asked what paddle I had. Plays hot off the face, I got a lot more pace on my drives without swinging harder. The face feels solid on mishits too which I'm not used to. Heavy paddle, my wrist was a little tired after 2 hours but I'm 51 and don't play every day so take that with a grain of salt.

Grew up on tennis, switch to pickleball 2 years ago and the biggest adjustment was how short the handles were. Alpha is the first one where I can use my normal semi western grip without my hand drifting up. Feels closer to a racquet than anything else I've tried. I block a lot of drives back deep now. Plays heavy so probably not for someone who wants a quick finesse paddle, more for a former racquet sport player.

looks like the $300 ones

Got mine in the mail tuesday. Box was plain but the paddle itself looks and feels like a high end one, no rough edges, grip wrapped clean. I've been hitting against my garage wall and a backboard at the park and the carbon face hasn't scuffed at all yet. I'm a casual, only play on weekends, so I'm not the guy to tell you if it wins tournaments. But for what I paid I'm not going back to my old cheap one.

I've used the gamma voltage, joola ben johns, and a franklin signature before this. The omega is the first hot paddle where my third shot drops actually land in the kitchen instead of sailing. Took me about a week to trust it but now it's my main. I do find the face texture picks up dirt fast and you have to wipe it between games or the spin drops off. Otherwise really happy.

good if you banger

If you play at the kitchen and like to speed up this paddle is for you. Pop is real and the ball jumps off the face faster than anything I've held. I'm a 4.0 banger and my doubles partner calls me when he sees me bring it out. If you're a soft player or just starting out I'd steer clear, the swing weight is up there and you will pop balls up if you don't have the touch yet.

no buzz

Most paddles I've owned had that tingly buzz in the handle when you hit off center. The alpha doesn't, contact feels dead solid no matter where on the face you catch it. I'm 4.0, play at a club in arizona, mostly outdoor. One thing I didn't expect is how loud it is. My regular group has noticed it and someone said "hey you got a new paddle?" before I even pulled it out of the bag.

more spin than my pkl

Was using a pkl rcf for about a year and thought 3k weave would feel slippery compared to raw carbon. Nope. The omega grabs the ball harder than my old paddle, my serves are actually kicking now and people are shanking returns. Took it to league play last tuesday and won two matches I probably should have lost. Grip is a little smaller than I expected so I added a tourna overgrip and it fits perfect.

Watched a bunch of youtube reviews, read the reddit threads, took me about 3 months to commit. Wish I hadn't waited. Power is the obvious thing, serves are landing deeper than they ever have. The thing I wasn't expecting is the reach, I'm 6'1 and the long handle means I'm not hunched over at the kitchen anymore. One reservation: the weight. If you have any elbow or wrist stuff, get a lighter one. I'm fine but I can see how it would bother some people.

forgiveness is real

Was at the kitchen last week, opponent hit a hard drive right at my feet and I caught the ball with the bottom inch of the paddle face. It cleared the tape and dropped in. With my old gamma that ball is in the net every time. I'm a 3.5 and don't have great mechanics, I need all the help I can get on mishits. This paddle gives me that. Heavy though, that part nobody talks about. Worth it but you feel it after a long session.

displaced my $250 selkirk

Had a selkirk power air invikta for about 8 months. Played ok. The omega replaced it and my partner immediately asked what happened because my dinks were way better. Sold the selkirk to a friend for $150 the next week. My honest opinion is the omega is a better all court paddle than the selkirk. Not softer or harder, just more balanced. If you're an aggressive power player the selkirk might still be for you but for the rest of us this is the move.

drives go deep

Played outdoor at my club the last two weekends. Drives are landing at the baseline consistently which was my main goal since I switched from a control paddle. Indoors is a different story, the swing weight catches up to me after an hour and my hand speed at the net drops. So outdoor it's a 5, indoor it's a 3.5. Just being real about it.

I play mostly doubles with my sister and we are both in our 60s. The omega is the first paddle either of us has used where we can both hit overheads without it stinging our hands after. Power is fine for our level, control is what we cared about. Only reason it's not 6 stars is the face shows scuff marks after about a month of regular play. Cosmetic only, plays the same.

fast in the hands

Came from a gearbox ss11 which is a heavy control paddle. The alpha is faster in the hands than I expected given the weight. Did a hand speed drill against the wall and I'm getting around 2-3 more reactions per minute than I was with the gearbox. Edge doesn't twist on me which was my worry with a lighter feeling paddle. If you've been on the fence just get one, my only regret is waiting this long.

first session

Shipped in a plain brown box with the paddle in a thin plastic wrap. Honestly underwhelming packaging but the paddle itself looked great. Took it straight to the courts at my 4.5 bracket open play, no warm up. Aced my first serve, bricked the next three, then started dinking fine. The grip out of the box is good but a little slick, added an overgrip at home that night. So far so good.

stable paddle

I've added lead tape to every other paddle I've owned to get them stable enough for blocks at the kitchen. Out of the box the alpha just doesn't twist, period. Blocked a few hard drives back deep at open play yesterday and didn't need to add any tape. Did the same with counters. Going to give it a few more weeks before I decide whether it stays stock but so far no lead tape and it still feels planted. Already ahead of my old setup.

offense

I'm 5'8" and play at 4.5. Speedups are my main weapon. The omega gives me the pop I need to put away balls at the kitchen that I was leaving short with my last paddle. If you're a defensive player this is probably too much paddle for you. Even on resets I have to soften up to keep the ball in. Also the weight, 8.5 plus overgrip is a lot for me at the end of a long day.

I've been playing about 6 months and started with a cheap amazon paddle. Tried a friend's alpha last weekend and the difference in feel on contact is hard to describe. There's a thunk to it that the cheap ones don't have. No buzz in the handle. Hit a bunch of serves and the spin was real, people I was playing with asked what paddle I was using. Honestly probably overkill for me right now but I'm keeping it. The only thing I don't love is the weight, my arm is sore today.

good for resets

Got the omega two weeks ago and she said my drops are now landing in the kitchen instead of sailing. Reach on the elongated face is the other thing, I'm getting drives back that I was just barely missing with my old paddle. I'd tell anyone who's working on their soft game to try this before buying another control paddle.

The ball just comes off this face with more authority than anything else I've used. Touch game is the part I'm still figuring out, I'm losing a few more dinks than I should at the kitchen because the pop wants to come out. But for raw hitting this is the best I've owned and I've had the crbn 1, the gearbox ss11 and a franklin signature.

About 6 weeks in, play 3 or 4 times a week. Edge guard is still on tight, no chips in the carbon face, grip is starting to wear but that's normal for me by now. Plays like the $200 ones I've tried at the club. The reason it's 5 stars instead of 4 is the price, you're getting flagship level performance for under 150 and that's just not normal in this sport. One nit, the face decal covers the whole face and I'd rather see the carbon but that's purely cosmetic.
